Description
Members gather to hear a wide range of programs and network over lunch. Luncheons are held on the second Thursday of each month in the Austin Room at the Derby Welcome Center.
Program: Shelly Haupt, Senior Housing Specialist with the City of Wichita Housing and Community Services department, will provide an overview of homelessness in Wichita/Sedgwick County. She will discuss homeless program initiatives within her department and possible root causes for homelessness. Wichita Police Officer Britney Graham from their Homeless Outreach Team (H.O.T) will also speak on their approach to ending homelessness and the coordination amongst other service providers. Derby City Attorney Jaci Kelly and Derby Police Officer Astacia Taylor will also be on hand to answer any Derby-related homeless questions.
