With the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, it's easy to turn to online retailers or big-box stores, but when you shop at a locally owned business, you're doing more than buying gifts – you're investing in your community. For every dollar spent at a small business, an average of 67 cents stays within the local economy, supporting jobs, fostering entrepreneurship, and ensuring the unique character of Derby thrives.

The Chamber’s initiative is also giving shoppers extra motivation. When you shop at participating local businesses from November 27 to December 15, you'll have a chance to win a special "Shop Local" basket filled with gift cards and certificates from local merchants – perfect for a holiday shopping spree! All you need to do is make a purchase at one of the participating locations, fill out the provided slip with your name and contact information and you'll be entered to win.
