PROGRAM: Join us for the August Chamber Luncheon featuring Derby Fire Marshal Jonathan Marr. Jonathan’s presentation, “What to Expect When You’re Inspected,” will give local business owners and managers a practical look at the fire inspection process and what they can do to keep their employees, customers and property safe. Attendees will receive a business self-inspection checklist that can be used to identify and correct potential concerns before the Fire Department arrives for an inspection. 

Derby is expected to adopt a new fire code on August 11, and Jonathan will explain what businesses should know about the updated requirements. He will also review common fire inspection items, explain why they are important and share photographs of some of the more memorable code violations he has encountered around town.

Jonathan will also discuss the Derby Fire Department’s robust paramedic program and how its highly trained personnel, advanced equipment and emergency medical response capabilities are helping save lives throughout our community.

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund or credit. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the $17 lunch fee as a lunch has already been ordered.
