Description
PROGRAM: Strong schools build strong communities. Discover how Derby Public Schools is strengthening success for students through the Power of Partnerships, a collaborative focus on Safety, Academics, Community and Voice. Hear directly from current students about the innovative career and technical education programs, opportunities to earn college credit while in high school and real-world experience through work-based learning. Attendees will also learn about special education initiatives and transition programs that prepare students for life beyond graduation. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about future planning and discover how you can help shape the district’s long-term vision for education in Derby, plus a special post-lunch treat from Panther Brews, a student-run coffee shop operated by the Panther Pals special education program.
