Kicking off the fall festivities is the highly anticipated Wine & Dine-osaur event on September 26 at Field Station Dinosaurs. This unique evening blends the sophistication of a wine tasting with the whimsical theme of dinosaurs. As the temperatures start to drop, things will be heating up at the annual Chili Cook-Off on October 12 at High Park. This event is a true testament to Derby's community spirit, as local Chamber member businesses compete to create the best chili in town. This event will be held alongside the Derby Recreation Commission’s Halloween Hullabaloo which features trunk-or-treating, hayrides, a zombie hunting range, bounce houses, games and more. Rounding out the fall events is the ever-popular Trunk or Treat event on October 19 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm co-hosted by Rock Regional Hospital. This family-focused event brings together local businesses and community members for a safe and fun Halloween celebration.
